From the Executive Director
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you will enjoy this visit to our website. We have designed this site to be informative to those not familiar with Awana, as well to those who are currently involved in the program through their local church.
If you know nothing about Awana, I hope you will take time to browse through the various sections and become familiar with this weekday club program for boys and girls.
You will find our Mission and Vision Statement to help you understand why we exist, and what we are all about. Other sections will explain the various aspects of the club program.
You will find details of the various age-graded levels, as well as the special events, which are held throughout the year for both leadership and clubbers.
Central to the program of Awana is the Gospel of Grace. It is no secret that our world is getting worse every day. Hardly a day goes by that we do not hear of some disaster either at home or abroad. Frequently, we learn of some act of inhumanity or cruelty in our society.
In these cases we look for comfort or ask the question, Why?
The answers to these and all the questions of life are found in God's Word, the Bible. In the Bible, God provides not only answers to everyday living, but also the answer to the supreme question of life: eternity.
God has provided a way through Christ's death on the cross for all of mankind to come into a living relationship with Him. As a result we can be sure of our eternal destiny.
If you would like to know more about God's offer of eternal life, please write and ask for a book entitled, "The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus." This book presents a clear and simple explanation of the Bible. I know you will find it rewarding and, perhaps, life changing.
It is our hope that no matter who you are, friend of Awana, leader, clubber, or a casual passerby, you will find something here of interest.
May God bless you,
Philip G. Whitehead,
Executive Director
