The Heart of an Awana Missionary

The single biggest attraction for an Awana missionary is the philosophy that Awana exists to support local churches in their ministry to kids and not the other way around.

When the leadership of a local church shows an interest in running an effective children’s ministry, an Awana missionary wants to encourage that interest as best they can, as soon as they can. It may not mean that another Awana Club is established, that is the church leadership’s decision, but we sincerely want to see them do something significant for the children in their community during those important formative years.

Once a church congregation decides to use the Awana program, the Awana missionary is available to train their leaders, so that an effective children’s ministry can be established right from the start. Although faith-supported there are set no fees for our services. Awana missionaries are available to evaluate, trouble-shoot, and encourage club leadership through club visits, training seminars, and special events for the clubbers.
