Leonard and Pamela Friesen
Born in South America, Len moved to Niverville, MB with his family at the age of nine.
He attended a mid-week program where he became a Christian and after much prayer the
rest of his family also came to the Lord. Pam was born into a Christian family and
accepted Christ at a young age. She enjoyed going to the Awana club at her church
and progressed through as a clubber, LIT and a leader. Len was working as a cement
truck driver and Pam was doing accounting bookwork when they met. Soon after they
were married, Len returned to his original trade as an autobody technician progressing
through the company to become manager of the body shop before God called them into the
Awana Ministry.
Len's first introduction to Awana was when he met Pam. They have been actively
involved in the local church. Len has been a Sunday School teacher, treasurer and
Assistant Superintendent. He has also been an Awana Leader and Commander. Pam has
been involved as a Sunday School teacher, on the Christian Education Committee,
Awana Secretary and Treasurer for the Evangelical Free Church Central District.
They currently live in Steinbach with their three children, Nathaniel, Colton and
Rebecca.
Len and Pam look forward to working with the local churches to reach boys and girls
for Christ. They are ready to counsel with pastors and leaders regarding the youth
ministry of your church, and to present the Awana program. They are also available
to conduct leadership training, sponsor area events, and speak at Awana presentations
and other services in your church. Please feel free to contact them directly.
